Lexir

Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 June 2026

Lexir is a vocabulary app published by Leafshade (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email steve@leafshade.io.

The short version

Lexir works without an account and stores your reading on your device. If you choose to sign in, we sync your progress so it's available on your other devices. We don't show ads, we don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

What we don't do

Where your data lives

On your device, Lexir keeps a local copy of the word library and your progress so it works offline. When you're signed in, your progress is also stored on our hosted backend (Supabase) so it can sync between your devices. Sign-in is handled by Google. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service.

Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled on your device. We don't use push servers to message you, and the reminder doesn't send any of your information to us.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep synced progress for as long as your account exists. You can clear local data at any time from your device's app settings, and you can ask us to delete your account and the progress associated with it. Here's how: delete your account.

Children

Lexir isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app where appropriate.
